There is an arbitrary, serendipitous quality to many of the photographs. One can observe rain drops and dew drops glistening from many blossoms, and leaves as well as the bends and twist of branches, vines and tree trunks that present a composition that extends into the imagination.

Welcome to the National Botanical Portrait Museum and Gallery

Every portrait has its own uniqueness to offer – from the orchids, desert plants, carnivorous plants, and tropical wonders to the native wildflowers and trees.

The NBPM presents the essence of exquisite botanical beauty through beautiful unique portraiture.
Portraits are the intimate, artful portraiture captures of various gardens, raw nature, wild and exquisitely manicured landscapes. Some are from a bird’s eye view while others peer into the macro; often hidden from normal view botanical kingdom.

The museum has in its permanent collection well over five hundred portraits and paintings of botanicals. Most images are still life photography in a digital format media.
